Divya is a freelance and multimedia broadcast journalist. She has previously worked for Turner International's Indian partner, CNN-IBN, on their investigative TV news magazine program called '30 minutes.' She is currently studying broadcast and multi-media journalism and documentary film at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.

Previously, Divya worked as a World Bank consultant for four years on issues including micro-finance, trade and private sector development in Eastern Europe and South Asia. She also worked for 2 years with an international NGO, ACDI/VOCA, on assisting vulnerable populations in conflict and disaster-ridden environments. Her work has taken her to India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Divya has an M.A. in International Relations from the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in Political Sciene from the Lady Shririam College, Delhi University. She can be reached at divyagupta2@gmail.com
